While driving home today I came up with thisunique way for Andrea to spend her time until dinner was ready tonight. I hadn't told her I bought Across the Universe, and it became the bait. I said to myself, "Self? Lets make Andrea solve a mystery." How you may be asking.Well I'd leave her a note where she could find it when she came in the house. This note would explain exactly what the rules of the mystery were, and that each clue leads to another clue. But there are only six clues so it doesn't drag out. I would then place the little clues/riddles where they would lead her. I figured it would take her around 20 min.
Well she came in and did went straight to the bathroom (like always), so I slid the note with the first riddle under the door. And the mystery began. She made a few wrong moves from note reading the clues/riddles correctly, but eventually would solve them correctly. It did take her about 20 min., and lead her right to Acrosss the Universe in it's hiding place. The whole time I sat on the couch and watch Heat ( Al Pacino, Val Kilmer, Robert DeNiro...amazing movie).
For dinner, which was done on schedule, was an orange marmalade chicken with sweet potatoes and carrots, topped with some fresh ground pepper. It was delicious. After dinner, I sent her off to her nutrition class at the college. Her only comment for tonight was, "I love you, but will never be able to top anything you do." My response was simple, "I know!"
